Start with the limits of the display
A map can display only the information available to it. When updates stop or a flight does not appear, the display alone cannot tell you why. Some aircraft and locations have limited data coverage, and a service can also experience temporary interruptions.
The absence of a marker should not be treated as evidence that a flight has been cancelled, diverted, or involved in an incident. Those are separate claims that need a reliable source.
Check the view before drawing a conclusion
Look at the part of the world currently in view. If the tracker offers filters, review them. Confirm the flight details you entered and whether you are looking at the intended date or area. A view setting can affect what you see without changing what is happening in the sky.
If the application is still loading, give it time to retrieve its information. A connection problem, browser limitation, or temporary service issue may affect the entire display rather than a single flight.
Be careful with old information
If an update time is available, read it. A position from several minutes ago should not be interpreted as an exact current location. Different sources and parts of a journey can update at different times.
Avoid using the visual movement of a marker as a substitute for checking the data timestamp. A polished display can still be showing information with limits.

Check the official airline or airport status page. Use your booking details and the operating airline where applicable. If the status remains unclear and affects your travel, contact the airline directly.
