Method 1: our live flight map

What you can see

Follow available aircraft positions in 3D, with altitude, speed and heading. Flight details may include aircraft information, departure and destination airports, and airport weather such as temperature. Extra avionics and a vertical profile appear when data is available. Coverage varies; this is not a source of scheduled or actual departure and arrival dates or times.

  1. Enter your flight number in the field below and open the map. It will search for a live match and open the flight details when available.
  2. Match the route or aircraft details before following a result. Read the available update time; a moving marker does not guarantee a fresh observation.
  3. If no matching flight is available, confirm the date and operating airline, then use the official status page. Missing position data does not prove a cancellation.

Enter a flight number or callsign from any airline, for example WY123 or CPA873. The map will check your entry and show a live match or a message.

Method 2: official airline flight status

What you can see

Use the airline for dated departure and arrival status, including scheduled, estimated or actual times where supplied. Gate, terminal and disruption information varies by airline. Follow its separate check-in or booking service for passenger actions.

  1. Have your flight number, travel date and departure airport ready. Open the official status service linked below.
  2. Select the matching flight and read the labels: scheduled, estimated and actual times mean different things. Check the local date and time zone.
  3. Use the airline or airport to confirm gates, terminals, check-in and disruptions. Information shown varies; status lookup is not the same as check-in.

Using the airline’s search

Oman Air’s official status tool offers route fields and a WY flight-number search. Choose the travel date before reading the result. If your trip connects at Muscat, look up the arriving and departing flights separately. A plane near Muscat on the map does not establish your boarding gate or whether a connection is still possible.

Oman Air identifier quick reference

Passenger airline codeWY
ICAO operator codeOMA
Radio callsignOMAN AIR
Example passenger formatWY101

The WY number is the passenger-facing designator; an aircraft tracking source can identify the operator with OMA.

How to verify a Oman Air tracker match

  • Choose the correct travel date.
  • For Muscat connections, check arrival and departure separately.
  • Use the official airline page for passenger status.

Two methods, different answers

The airline is the source for passenger travel updates. The map is for exploring aircraft positions where data is available. This page does not fetch live airline results, guarantee coverage, or provide booking, check-in or rebooking services.

Before you travel or collect someone

Recheck the official result before leaving for the airport. An aircraft landing does not mean passengers are ready at arrivals: taxiing, disembarkation and baggage take time. For a connection, check each flight separately. If sources disagree, contact the operating airline.
